UWL Screaming Eagles Marching Band hosts area high school students Saturday

Local high school bands from throughout the area will converge on the UW-La Crosse campus for the 8th annual High School Band Day. The UWL Screaming Eagles Marching Band will host the annual event Saturday, Sept. 15, at Roger Harring Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium Sports Complex. The event is expected to draw approximately 400 musicians, color guard and twirlers from seven local high schools. The participating high schools include: Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, Tomah, La Crosse Central, Bangor, La Crosse Logan, Holmen and Prairie du Chien. The bands will join the Screaming Eagles to perform the Star Spangled Banner during the pre-game performance. At halftime, the combined musicians will perform the music of Kesha, Imagine Dragons and A-Ha. The Screaming Eagles Marching Band will also perform its field show at halftime featuring the music of Green Day. The pre-game show will begin at 12:40 p.m. followed by kick off at 1 p.m. The Eagles will be playing Dickinson State University. Get game details and ticket information online.
