“We are fortunate to be in a region with many fine philanthropic business leaders who have helped our communities to grow and prosper,” says Laura Milner, dean of the UWL College of Business Administration. “Their gift of time and wisdom shared at this event is just one more example — one from which all attendees can benefit.” UWL Professor TJ Brooks, chair of the Economics Department, will offer insights and perspectives on the region’s local economy and the role of philanthropy in community development. “Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region” is a regional business forum. State Bank Financial sponsors the research project in collaboration with the UWL College of Business Administration and The La Crosse Tribune. The event is coordinated by the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at UWL with support from the UWL Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
