Procurement card statement improvements starting with the Sept. 11 issue
Procurement card statements will now include detailed transaction information. Details include:
- Airfare transactions — traveler names, travel date and airport information
- Hotel transactions — lodging dates and folio numbers
- Transaction detail — specific item detail (if provided by the vendor)
Statements will also have a designated area for cardholders to reallocate expenses to a different funding string. Cardholders simply provide the new funding information and a business purpose for the reallocation. This feature will eliminate the need to submit an Expense Transfer Form.

Expansion of classroom lecture capture for fall 2015
Currently classroom lecture capture is available to all faculty and staff who teach in 1309 and 1400 Centennial, 102 Wimberly and 100 Cowley Halls. This summer ITS has expanded lecture capture capability by request to nearly any other classroom on campus. Thanks to the introduction last fall of the MyMedia Desktop Recorder, instructors have found success in using the new capture method in their classrooms. It can be used to create a library of recordings, which provides an additional resource to facilitate teaching and enhance student learning.
Those interested in bringing lecture capture to a classroom this fall may contact the Eagle Help Desk or Terry Wirkus at
twirkus@uwlax.edu.

Wanted - paid student helper
Sharp witted, sarcastic, intelligent, unfortunately-paralyzed student seeking compassionate, kind, intelligent other student to become a paid assistant for classes in fall 2015. I don’t need a lot of help, or any sort of specialized help. I just need a reliable, personable, responsible person to meet me on schedule and come to class with me as my “helping hands.” This means taking notes, getting out my books, assisting with work in class, and then some smaller personal cares. Sometimes I ask for water from my bottle, or have to take a pill, or need some assistance with scarf or hat removal, or a stretch of the hand. I swear it’s not a bad job and I’m an awesome boss. I have class every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:40-5:20 p.m. I like to keep a 10 to 20 minute buffer on either side of those times so that we can meet each other and I can catch my ride. Some portions of this time can be divided amongst helpers and hanging out with me in class pays $9.50 an hour. I like music, movies, learning and cake — just like everybody else. I just have to learn to ask, and get by with a little help from my friends. If there is any interest, please send an email my way at mcconaug.keel@uwlax.edu. Please, bring true personalities to the table because I am a very un-professional sort of boss and the most important thing is that we like to spend the time together.
