Jeans Day is July 27; wear you LIVEMAROON gear!
UW-L is one of many local organizations that participate in the monthly “Jeans Day” sponsored by the La Crosse Tribune. One or two local charities or organizations are designated each month to receive our donations. In return for a $1 (suggested donation) UW-L employees may wear jeans to work Friday, July 27. You may contribute even if you don’t wear jeans. Let’s show our community how generous we can be! In June our campus raised $40. Also, the campus community is encouraged to wear their LIVEMAROON T-shirts or other maroon clothing. The charities receiving the July contributions are:- United Fund For the Arts – this organization enhances the cultural life of this area by encouraging and providing opportunities for businesses, foundations and professionals to invest in the programs of local arts and humanities organizations in an efficient and effective way. UFAH is an umbrella fundraising organization for 10 organizations.
- Pump House Regional Arts Center – They enhance the quality of the life in the region by maintaining the historic Pump House as a cultural center; and by promoting a wide range of educational, visual and performing arts activities including participation, performance, and appreciation.
