Chancellor Joe Gow, Psychology Professor Bart VanVoorhis and Attorney Nizam Arain (husband of Mahruq Khan, Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies) started a band, the "Fur Low Riders." Hear Gow on guitar, VanVoorhis on drums and Arain on bass guitar for the band's first public performance at 10:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the Popcorn Tavern, 308 Fourth St. S. The band plays 1960s blues-rock and the 1950s traditional blues that influenced it. The performance is free.
