A Minnesota native will bring his comedy and magic show to UW-La Crosse.
Derek Hughes performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition. The performance is a family weekend event sponsored by university’s Campus Activities Board.
Hughes grew up in Minnesota where he studied acting at the University of Minnesota. In 1997, he and his collaborator, Steve Cuiffo, were awarded first place in stage magic by the International Brotherhood of Magicians for their performance of “Express Train.” In his campus shows, he blends comedy and magic.
Tickets are $5 for UW-L students and $7 for others. For tickets or more information, contact the Cartwright Center Information Counter at 608.785.8898.
