Alumna, tournament’s director says Three Rivers Roleo has attracted top talent for July 8 competition

The 10th Annual Three Rivers Roleo Log Rolling Tournament will be Saturday, July 8, on the Black River, at the Great River Landing in Onalaska. The event is free and open to the public. The professional competition kicks off at 11 a.m. This year’s event will include a vendor village starting at 10:30 a.m., including lumberjack demonstrations, an opportunity for spectators to try log rolling, food from Ole’s Pizza, beer and more. UW-La Crosse alumna Katie Rick, ’08 and ‘12, is the tournament’s director. She says the local event is gaining steam. It now includes more top, pro-rollers, which adds to the excitement for viewers. The event will be broadcast on Fox Sports North & Fox Sports Wisconsin with the first airing at 9:30 p.m. Monday, July 17, with rebroadcasts to follow. Learn more on the event website.
