Rock musicians, revving motorcycles, and the 451st Army Band will all be part of a tribute to veterans and service members Saturday, June 15, at Freedom Fest. The annual event attracts thousands to UW-L’s Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex for celebration and commemoration.
This year's bands include: "Chicago," "Daughtry" and "The Remainders." The event also includes:

To date, Freedom Fest has raised $400,000 for veterans causes, including nearly $80,000 in scholarships for returning service members pursuing an education at UW System institutions. Freedom Fest proceeds also help maintain a memorial inside the Hall of Honor at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. Thousands of visitors each year pay tribute to veterans at this landmark.
Freedom Fest has grown from 1,200 attendees the first year to 7,000 in 2012 because of the increasingly popular musical talents, as well as the impressive support to honor service members, veterans and fallen heroes. Tickets are available for purchase at area Festival Foods and on the Freedom Fest website.
