Global market is topic of UW-La Crosse lecture

Business people with globe artwork. How to thrive in a global market will be the topic of an upcoming UW-La Crosse College of Business Administration lecture. Daniel T. O’Keefe of General Mills Inc. will speak on “Thriving in the Global Market — How to Maintain the Edge” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Strzelczyk Great Hall in the Cleary Alumni & Friends Center. Admission is free. O’Keefe, a senior project manager with the Global Program Management Group, has overall responsibility for capital projects within several divisions for both international and domestic businesses. They have included Big G cereal, Progresso soup, Old El Paso, Nature Valley, Pillsbury, Green Giant and Cereal Partners Worldwide. O’Keefe recently returned from a three-year assignments in Europe. For nearly the past two years, he was responsible for building the first cereal factory for CPW in Karacabey, Turkey. The CBA Lecture Series brings business leaders to campus to share their stories about the current business world to students, faculty and the community. If you go— Who: Daniel T.
