For more than a decade, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance has listed UW-La Crosse on its 100 best values in public colleges nationally. Now the national magazine has named UW-L No. 4 on its list of the 25 Best College Values Under $30,000 a Year. “This is a wonderful acknowledgment of the great work that is done each day by our very dedicated and talented faculty, staff and students,” says UW-L Chancellor Joe Gow. The rank is part of Kiplinger’s new online College Finder tool, which complements the magazine’s annual Best Values in Public Colleges and Best Values in Private Colleges. The new tool also reveals the best college values in each region, among different-sized campuses, and under $30,000 a year. UW-L was the only Wisconsin campus to make the national top 25 list. The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma was No. 1. Other colleges in the region listed were: No. 2 University of Minnesota Morris, No. 7 University of Northern Iowa, No. 21 Iowa State and No. 23 University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
