Office plans to create placards to honor vets
The campus will honor UWL students, faculty and staff for their military service this Veterans Day. The Veteran Educational Benefits Office will create placards for each individual to display on campus around Veterans Day. To honor someone, submit the following information with photos to the Veteran Educational Benefits Office, uwlveted@uwlax.edu, by Friday, Oct. 26. Photos are optional; however, two photos are preferred, one in uniform and one current. Please submit the following information: For UWL faculty/staff/employees—
· Name
· Academic department
· Military service
For students—
· Name
· Hometown
· Major
· Military service
For military service, include:
· Rank
· Military job title
· Years of service
· Branch/component (ie: Active duty U.S. Marine Corps or Wisconsin National Guard)
· Any deployments in support of Contingency operations (ie: Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Provide Comfort, etc)
