An early spring made for an active campus as UWL welcomed visitors from around the globe. Take a look at some of our favorite photos from March at UWL.



A warm start to the month created plenty of opportunities to get outdoors.
Birdsong wasn't the only music on the lawn outside the Whitney Center.
Rolling out the welcome mat ahead of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Wrestling Championships at the La Crosse Center. The event featured 180 competitors from 60 schools across the United States.


The stage is set.
Eye of the tiger, or eye of the Eagle.
UWL's Caleb Colon-Rivera interviews Associate Professor of Communication Studies Irene Awino as part of the programming for Women's History Month.
During the Eagle Sales Competition, students gained valuable experience pitching to sales professionals, while a panel watched their pitches from another room and provided feedback.


Poised for her pitch.
Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of the New York Times Bestseller, "Braiding Sweegrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants," visited UWL and signed copies of her book.
Members of the Native American Student Association performed traditional drum music prior to Kimmerer's keynote address.
The Bluffs ballroom in the Student Union was filled to capacity to see Kimmerer.
Panelists take notes during the 3 Minute Grad Project event organized by Graduate & Extended Learning. The event challenges students to squeeze months of research into a three-minute presentation for a general audience.
Students from the University of Teacher Education - Fukuoka in Japan visited UWL to learn about the U.S. education system. Some UWL staff and faculty served as host families during the students' two-week stay.
