Jeff Meyer specializes in promoting philanthropy within the CBA
The UW-La Crosse College of Business Administration is pleased to have its own development officer promoting philanthropy within the CBA.
Jeff Meyer, who has over 16 years of higher education fundraising experience, recently moved to the CBA from UWL’s central fundraising team in University Advancement.
Meyer works directly with CBA Dean TJ Brooks to engage alumni, friends and businesses in creating more opportunities for students to excel inside and outside the classroom.
His primary focus is working with alumni and friends who are interested in making a difference in the lives of students and the careers of faculty through philanthropy. He also works with local, regional and state businesses with a shared interest in supporting the college.
During Meyer’s time with University Advancement, he assisted CBA donors in creating several student scholarships and in launching the Swenson Baier Engaged Faculty Fellowship and the Jennifer Hansen Faculty Awards.
Meyer was instrumental in securing Baker Tilly’s sponsorship of the UWL Accountancy Program and in establishing the Kwik Trip Integrated Core Program at UWL.
He was also key in the development of the Benson Management First Friday Lecture Series, which brings successful alumni back to campus to share their experiences with students.
Through his position in the CBA, Meyer hopes to work with donors and businesses to create even more opportunities for students and faculty.
Businesses or prospective donors looking to support the CBA can contact Meyer at 608-785-8502 or jmeyer@uwlax.edu. If an in-person meeting is preferred, Meyer travels regionally and nationally to meet with CBA partners.
