Murphy Library’s Art in the Mug Program has a new exhibition of student photography from the Photography and Imaging II and Experimental Photography classes.

Murphy Library’s Art in the Mug Program has a new exhibition of student photography from the Photography and Imaging II and Experimental Photography classes. The exhibition provides a survey of student work including:
- still life
- figure
- landscape
- digital compositions
- traditional cyanotypes
More than 30 cyanotypes are exhibited in the show.[/caption]
More than 30 cyanotypes — artwork collages from magazine clippings, printed on coffee filters, colored with wine and leaf pigments, and superimposed on illustrations — are exhibited in the show. Students are encouraged to experiment with techniques including:
- image-capture
- traditional darkroom methods
- non-narrative sequencing
- non-silver processes
- surface manipulation of the photograph and of negatives
- use of photographs beyond the conventional
