Congratulations to Jeff Hankey, a new representative on the UW-L Alumni Association Board of Directors, and Vickie Bain, new program associate for the Alumni Association.

Congratulations to Jeff Hankey and Vickie Bain. Hankey will begin his first year on the Alumni Association Board of Directors as the alumni band network representative. Bain began her position as program associate for the UW-L Alumni Association May 27.
Hankey attended UW-L in 1985, and has been very involved with the alumni band ever since. For nearly 30 years Hankey has been entertaining Oktoberfest Maple Leaf parade goers on the tenor drums. He has also maintained and stored the inventory of drums at his home for decades.
“He will add a lot of enthusiasm and energy to the board”, notes Janie Spencer, executive director.

Bain comes to the Alumni Association with more than 20 years of experience. Most recently, she worked at the Small Business Development Center on campus.
“Vickie has a tremendous skill set, she knows the campus well and has such a warm personality,” says Spencer. “We are so excited to have her join our team.”
