Alumni & Friends Golf Outing set for Aug. 14

In golf, an “eagle” occurs when a golfer completes a hole two strokes under par. While not every swing will secure an eagle, each stroke at the annual UW-La Crosse Alumni & Friends Golf Outing aims to benefit UWL Eagles.

The 35th Annual UWL Alumni & Friends Golf Outing is set for Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Cedar Creek Golf Club in Onalaska.

Registration also grants access to the driving range and putting green.

Participants will join a four-person, team-flighted scramble, while having access to 18 holes of golf with a cart, the driving range and putting green. In addition to a fun day of golf, participants will be served lunch, receive a special edition UWL polo shirt, and wind down with a post-outing happy hour.

The cost to register is $150 ($175 after July 23) and includes all perks listed above, with the ability to purchase a $40 “special games and raffle ticket” that includes two hole games, ten 50/50 raffle tickets, and 40 basket raffle tickets.

All proceeds from the event will support the Alumni & Friends Foundation and its initiatives, which align with the Foundation’s core values of tradition, service, education, diversity and integrity.

All proceeds from the event will support the Alumni & Friends Foundation.

As the university’s largest private funding resource, the Foundation relies heavily on philanthropic support to keep education affordable and prepare students for successful lives and careers.
