Pearson appointed UW-L executive director of Facilities Planning and Management

Doug Pearson will begin duties as UW-L’s executive director of Facilities Planning and Management Monday, Feb. 3.

[caption id="attachment_29891" align="alignright" width="134"]Doug Pearson Doug Pearson[/caption] Doug Pearson, currently the director of facilities at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, has been appointed UW-L’s executive director of Facilities Planning and Management. He will begin duties at UW-L Monday, Feb.3. As executive director, Pearson will serve as the chief facilities officer for the university providing leadership for the management of UW-L's facilities and grounds, campus planning and space use, capital project planning, and design and construction of facility projects, as well as implement the campus physical development plan. At Southwest Wisconsin Technical College Pearson managed buildings, grounds and capital construction projects since 2010. He also served as director of Building Services at the Madison Metropolitan School District. Pearson earned a master of science degree in industrial engineering from New Mexico State University, a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from South Dakota State University, and is currently working on earning a doctorate degree.
