All UWL students are invited to register for the Student Leadership Summit.

UWL Student Leadership Summit to empower students with new skills

UW-La Crosse students will have an opportunity to develop leadership skills, collaborate with peers, and discover ways to make an impact on campus and in the community at the 2nd Annual UWL Student Leadership Summit.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in the UWL Student Union. The summit is designed to foster connections among student leaders, offering hands-on workshops and presentations by dynamic speakers.

This year’s theme is “Leadership on the Horizon: Reaching New Heights Together.” All UWL students are invited to register for the event by completing the online registration form.

The Student Leadership Summit was launched in 2024 to provide a students a one-day opportunity to develop leadership skills for all facets of life.

"The UWL Student Leadership Summit started last year with the goal of providing a one-day opportunity for students to learn and develop skills that they can apply to both on and off campus leadership roles," says Amanda Krafft, program coordinator for civic engagement and leadership at UWL. "We recognize that our students are busy and often times pulled in multiple directions. We hope this Leadership Summit continues to be a great way for students to grow as leaders."

The registration fee for the summit is $5, and tickets can be purchased through University Centers. Registration is a two-step process, so attendees must fill out the form and purchase tickets. The deadline for registration is Feb. 18. If a department or office is interested in covering registration costs for a group of students, they are encouraged to contact the Leadership and Involvement Center at LIC@uwlax.edu.
