Broadway-style show rescheduled for UW-La Crosse

The traveling show of ancient India’s transition into modern India has been rescheduled at UW-La Crosse.   “Mystic India: The World Tour,” an internationally acclaimed Bollywood dance, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, in the Bluffs, in the Student Union, 512 East Ave. N.  The show had been scheduled for March 21 but was postponed due to weather conditions on the East Coast.   The show features musicians, dancers, aerialists and acrobats, and hundreds of luxurious costumes. The costumes and elaborate sets have been custom designed in India’s film capital by a team of 40 designers and workers over the course of two years. The team of diverse dancers combine authentic Indian and modern techniques, joining the streets of Mumbai and New York.   Previously purchased tickets are valid for the rescheduled show. Those who cannot make the new date should contact The U Information Center at 608.785.8877 no later than 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, to get a refund.   Tickets are still available at $6 for UWL students and $8 for others in advance. Ticket prices double the day of the show. Those showing a receipt from February’s “Manitowoc Minute” performance at UWL will get a $2 discount.
