UWL leads Directors' Cup after first winter standings
UW-La Crosse leads the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup after the first winter standings were released Thursday, March 15. The Eagles have 465.00 points while Massachusetts Institute of Technology is second with 440.00 and Johns Hopkins University (Md.) third with 434.00.
These are the first set of winter standings with points awarded in rifle, skiing, women's and men's track & field and wrestling. UWL earned 75.00 points for the men's track & field team placing fifth at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, 72.00 points for the wrestling squad finishing seventh at the national championships and 48.00 points for the women's track & field team placing 26th at the indoor championships.
UWL was tied for fourth after the fall standings with 270.00 points. Read more>>>
