UW-L alumni and friends are showing support for the university by sporting UW-L plates on their Wisconsin vehicles.

UW-L alumni and friends are showing support for the university by sporting UW-L plates on their Wisconsin vehicles. And by doing that, they’re not only promoting UW-L on their car, they’re also helping fund a student’s tuition.
The university license plates program through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation allows vehicle owners to buy plates sporting a logo of any UW campus.
Plates purchased require an additional $20 fee, which is donated to the university to distribute as scholarships. The plates can be personalized for an additional cost.
In recent years, around $3,000 in scholarships have been awarded annually to UW-L students with funding from the license plate project.
