UW-La Crosse is hosting the 27th National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) April 11-13, 2013. NCUR 2013 is expected to bring more than 3,000 students and faculty to campus in an event that highlights student scholarship in a wide variety of disciplines. The three-day event will feature student seminars, performances and poster presentations, as well as plenary speakers and special events.
Students can submit abstracts of their research through Tuesday, Dec. 4, to www.cur.org/ncur_2013/.
Important dates when submitting abstracts:
Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013: Notification of decision on abstracts
UW-L students whose abstracts are accepted for NCUR 2013 are eligible for a waived registration fee (a $185 value). To qualify for the waived registration students must volunteer eight hours at the event. For information on selection guidelines go to www.uwlax.edu/urc/Presenting/Events/NCUR.htm.
UW-L students whose abstracts are accepted by NCUR, but not selected for waived registration, will be eligible for a discounted registration fee of $100. To qualify for the discounted registration students must volunteer eight hours at the event.
