Hear instrumental, vocal holiday classics from the UWL jazz program
The annual Swinging Yuletide Concert at UW-La Crosse will feature holiday favorites with performances by the UWL Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble, The Coulee Chordsmen, the UWL Jazz Combo and the UWL Saxophone Quartet. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in The Bluffs in the Student Union, 521 East Ave. N.
UWL jazz program vocalists will also be featured in a number of the groups singing classics by Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, the Andrews Sisters, and original arrangements of seasonal classics by UWL Director of Jazz Studies Jeff Erickson.
The suggested donation ticket prices are $5 for students and $10 for others for general admission, and $20 for reserved seating. For tickets call 608.785.8415 or stop by 124 UWL Center for the Arts. All proceeds go directly to UWL Jazz scholarships and are tax deductible.
