Posted p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016

Symposium focuses on operations and economics of competitive sports teams.

The UWL community will get an inside look at how competitive sports teams operate off the field during a UWL event Monday, April 11. The Symposium on Operations and Economics of Competitive Sports Teams will feature speakers from local and national organizations, including the NCAA. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. in the Brian and Lori Hesprich Auditorium, Graff Main Hall. “Sports create a nice environment to teach students about economics,” says Assistant Economics Professor Adam Hoffer. “It’s full of examples and students are often already interested in it.” [caption id="attachment_45540" align="alignleft" width="144"]NCAA Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Oliver Luck NCAA Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Oliver Luck .[/caption] NCAA Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Oliver Luck is headlining the event.
