Tickets for UW-L Theatre production of "These Shining Lives" go on sale Nov. 26.
Transporting audience members back to the Depression-era, the UW-L Department of Theatre Arts' production “These Shining Lives” tells the story of four women who are bonded together by their exposure to poisonous radioactive paint while working as Radium Dial Factory workers.
“These Shining Lives” will shown at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 through Saturday, Dec. 1, and Thursday, Dec. 6, through Saturday, Dec. 8. Matinee performances are at 2 o’clock Sundays, Dec. 2, and Dec. 9. All performances will be in Toland Theatre, Center for the Arts.
As the women in the play discover the independence, strength and courage that allow them to shine, they fight for their lives and the compensation they deserve because of their exposure. Though these women are slowly losing their lives, their story is one of hope and justice.
Tickets go on sale at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26. Tickets are $4 for UW-L students, $12 for seniors and other students, and $14 for others. For more information, call 785.8522.
