Four shows featured throughout the spring semester
Artists — ranging from UWL alumni to high school students in Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District — will show their work in the University Art Gallery during the 2017 Spring Semester. Exhibitions scheduled include:- Alumni Invitational Exhibition Jan. 27-Feb. 11; opening reception: Friday, Jan. 27, 5-7 p.m. The exhibition will include work in many media and formats, indicative of the ongoing professional careers of former students.
- All Students Juried Exhibition Feb. 23-March 10; opening reception and awards: Friday, Feb. 24, 5–7 p.m. The exhibition showcases the artwork of UWL students and provides awards and recognition for works of exceptional quality. This year’s judges are: Heather Delise, University of Minnesota, and John Swanson, curator at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. The exhibition is supported by the UWL Foundation and its donors.

- Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District High School Exhibition March 23–April 8, opening reception and awards: TBA Wisconsin 3rd Congressional District Rep. Ron Kind and Tawny Kind host the annual High School Art Competition and Exhibition. The event showcases the work of young artists from the district.
- Senior Exhibition April 13–May 5; opening reception: Thursday, April 13, 5-7 p.m. Participants will show work that exemplifies their studies and accomplishments throughout their studies at UWL. Artists include: Rachel Geniesse, Hsin-Yeh Lee, Ashley Martin, Ivy Belle Molls, Chloe Pittelko, Danielle Pursell, Stewart Stehly and Elizabeth West.
