UW-L Economists to discuss minimum wage

UW-L Economics Department faculty will lead a discussion on the potential benefits and challenges of raising the minimum wage.

UW-L Economics Department faculty will lead a discussion on the potential benefits and challenges of raising the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour. The event “Raising the Minimum Wage: A Conversation with Economists” will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, in 1400 Centennial Hall. The event is free and open to the public. The minimum wage increase will be a question on a non-binding referendum on all ballots within La Crosse County. The event is sponsored by the UW-L Economics Department. Registration and attendance are free, but participants are asked to complete this form.
