Area economics faculty and advanced undergraduate economics students are invited to a conference on new institutional economics and economic history.

Area economics faculty and advanced undergraduate economics students are invited to a conference on new institutional economics and economic history. The one-day conference, sponsored by UWL’s Economics Department, runs from 9 a.m. -5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center, at UWL. A variety of featured speakers will discuss the role of new institutional economics in the study of economic history. The conference will provide an overview of new institutional economics and how it contributes to the understanding of economic growth and development as well as the important role it plays as a field in economics. The conference also provides faculty with exposure to current research potentially useful for research and teaching.
