Four home games, plenty of tailgating planned

The smell of brats grilling, the sight of colorful leaves falling and the feeling of a fresh, cool breeze. Take in this fall with UWL football. UW-La Crosse will host four home games this season, starting with the season opener at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, against Luther College at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles will also travel to compete in six away games. See the full 2015 football schedule. Fans can find ticket information online and also purchase season tickets. Tickets can also be purchased through the UWL Athletics Office, 125 Mitchell Hall, at 608.785.8616 or athletics@uwlax.edu. UWL students are allowed free admission with a valid student ID to all regular-season athletics home events.

Tailgating

Three hours before each home football game, the Dahl Ford and Subaru tailgate lots outside of the stadium will open for tailgating. Enjoy music, games, grilling and more in preparation for the game.

Activities for all

• Three hours prior to kickoff: Dahl Automotive Tailgate Experience lots open (C-2 and C-3)
• Two hours prior to kickoff: ticket office opens; Kidz Blitz Zone opens.
• One-and-a-half hours prior to kickoff: stadium opens
• Two hours following conclusion of the game: Dahl Auto Tailgate Experience lots close

Tailgating music

Classic Rock 100.1 DJ’s will broadcast from the parking lots. The UWL Screaming Eagles Marching Band will also generate excitement to cheer on the Eagles.

Concessions and beverages

A full-service food tent will be available on the north end of Lot C-2. Food choices include bratwurst, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and pizza by the slice. The L-Club tent will feature beverages, including Pepsi products, water and beer.

Tailgating Kidz Blitz Zone

A section of the parking lot is a kids-only area with inflatables, games, appearances by Stryker the Eagle mascot and the UWL Cheerleaders. Admission into the Kidz Blitz Zone is free.
