Wisconsin Public Television to feature holiday toy making project that started with two UWL employees.

Wisconsin Public Television program to share the story of holiday toy making project that started with two UWL employees Wisconsin Public Television will feature a local holiday toy making tradition that started with two UW-La Crosse employees nearly two decades ago. This Wisconsin Life profile will air statewide at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, on Wisconsin Public Television (Milwaukee broadcast times are different). The two UWL employees, Scott Cooper and Kurt Grunwald, started a tradition of making handcrafted wooden toys to donate to charities during the holiday season 19 years ago. Today, the two, along with a group of UWL faculty, staff, students and other community members build, paint and donate about 50 wooden toys each year. “Wisconsin Life” airs on both Wisconsin Public Radio and Wisconsin Public Television. The program celebrates what makes Wisconsin unique through the diverse stories of its people. Watch the story online. Learn more about the program at www.wisconsinlife.org
