Janie Morgan, Alumni Association
Honored in the Volunteer category
It’s all about relationships for Janie Morgan. She is a proud alum of UW-L – with a degree in psychology and master’s degree in education professional development. Morgan spent the first 11 years of her career in healthcare; managing volunteer programs and raising funds for sick and hospitalized children.
In 1998, she became the executive director of the UW-L Alumni Association. For nearly 17 years, she has worked with a great staff and team of volunteers to keep alumni connected to each other and to UW-L.

“I’ve had the opportunity to serve as a Hospice volunteer, campaign for the United Way, help match Big Brothers and Big Sisters, deliver Mobil Meals, support young women pursuing higher education, raise funds for a new canine dog, pray at St. Rose Convent and sell Kringles just to name a few,” she notes.
Morgan says all have been rewarding experiences because of the people and the organizations represented.
