Dining services donations help Flint, Michigan

Posted 10:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016

Students and Chartwells need our help.

DiningServicesWEBMake a donation to purchase water for people in Flint, Michigan, and Chartwells, UWL’s dining services, will match it. Now through Sunday, March 6, students can use campus cash or maroon dollars to donate $1.79 — the price of a water bottle — or more — at three campus locations and Chartwells will match that donation. Funds will go toward purchasing bottles of water for people in Flint. Go to one of these campus locations:
  • Badger Street Station, convenience store in Whitney Center
  • The Galley, Cartwright Center
  • The Cellar, Cartwright Center
“Chartwells serves schools in Flint, Michigan, so this is directly affecting some of our students,” says Christy Ihrke, marketing manager for Chartwells. “We want to join Chartwells nationwide to help our students.”
