A traveling theatre troupe will present the unique Asian American perspectives of its cast on campus.

A traveling theatre troupe will present the unique Asian American perspectives of its cast during a performance on campus. Hearandnow will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition. Admission is free. Hereandnow theatre company was founded in 1989 by John Miyasaki, with a group of young Asian Americans frustrated by the lack of non-stereotypical roles in plays, musicals, TV and film. From its humble beginnings at East Los Angeles College, hereandnow has had more than 200 cast members and performed at more than 300 colleges and universities. Find out more at http://hereandnowtheatrecompany.com/ The performance is part of the university Campus Activities Board Series.
