Read what's new in UWL dining in 'The Scoop'

Chartwells is excited to be partnering with UW–La Crosse to create an excellent dining experience. The Scoop is Chartwells’ monthly news, showcasing information about UWL dining, information and resources from the team, and a look at some of the great things going on. As the start of the new academic year approaches, Chartwells is excited about a few things to come this fall and also ways the university community can continue to connect with us! Based on ideas and suggestions last year, Chartwells has made some changes that aim to create a great on-campus dining experience. -Enjoy the summer, Nancy Gjertson, resident district manager.

What’s new in Whitney Center

Whitney Center has undergone extensive renovations this summer with new stations, layout and menu. When Whitney Center reopens in the fall new and healthy options will be available for the students to choose from including: vegetarian/vegan, salads, pizza/pasta/calzones, home-style meals, deli sandwiches and more. Construction is well underway on the new Badger Street Station, a convenience store in Whitney. It might not look like much right now, but it will be completed, polished and ready to go for students.

What’s new in Cartwright

In Cartwright, Mondo Subs is the new sandwich experience. There's also an enhanced salad bar, new Asian-inspired options and more. Chartwells associates are looking forward to showing and sharing these changes.

Provide feedback

Chartwells appreciates and welcomes feedback, ideas and suggestions from all guests. Connect via the main website www.dineoncampus.com/uwlacrosse, share ideas with any member of the management team or staff, look for comment cards, online solutions and more. It has been a busy summer and the team looks forward to sharing the new look of dining at UWL soon.

Catering

We would like to take this opportunity to (re)introduce Vickey Moutsopoulos as the UWL Dining Services Catering Director. Moutsopoulos states “There’s nothing quite like the university atmosphere — alive and moving forward as students make their way through their college years. The spirit is alive… as it is with my coworkers too! Yup, it’s good to be back!” Vickey can be reached at 608.785.6485 or vmoutsopoulos@uwlax.edu.
