UW-L’s spring 2015 Dean’s List is online
Congratulations to students who qualified to be on the Dean’s List for the spring 2015 semester.
Qualification for the Dean’s List is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible for the list, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade point average and have carried a minimum of 12 semester credits.
The Dean’s List for the semester ending May 2015 is now online.
‘Dog Days of Summer’
Annual LIVEMAROON event is Tuesday, June 9
Expect good food and good conversation at LIVE
MAROON’s third annual “Dog Days of Summer.”
The picnic, open to all employees, runs from
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the gazebo in Lindner Forest. A light picnic lunch will be served while it lasts. Bring a blanket or lawn chair if you’d like. The rain site is Cameron Hall of Nations in Centennial Hall.
The “Dog Days of Summer” is sponsored by a University Dining Services Special Promotions grant written by the LIVE
MAROON committee.

MAROON, a campus-wide effort to revive campus spirit, is completing its fourth year aimed to embody a campus filled with passion, friendship, community and pride. The initiative is coordinated and sponsored by Campus Climate, Classified Staff Council, University Communications and University Police.
Employees should work with supervisors to ensure office coverage. No taxpayer dollars are used to fund the event.
Freshman Registration & Family Orientation kickoff meeting is June 5
The Admissions Office will hold a kickoff meeting for Freshman Registration & Family Orientation at
10 a.m. Friday, June 5, in 140, Cowley Hall. Anyone involved with Freshman Registration & Family Orientation is welcome to attend. The Admissions Office will provide an overview of the program and logistic details.
Shauna Sallmen, Physics, and UW-L alumni, Brooke Bellehumeur, Kurt Grunwald, Cheuk Man Lo and Elizabeth Tennyson, published a paper, "Interstellar HI Shells Identified in the SETHI Survey," in the June issue of The Astronomical Journal, 149, 189.
