Public invited to behind the scenes look at Pump House [art]ifact exhibit

The public is invited to hear from artists and historians who contributed to the [art]ifact exhibit on Sundays starting Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Pump House Regional Art Center. The [art]ifact exhibit will be on display at the Pump House through Sunday, April 17. The exhibit showcases 15 local artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries and the corresponding new, original artwork inspired by the objects. The piece was inspired by an artifact from the La Crosse County Historical Society collection.[/caption]“Behind [art]ifact” talks with artists and historians who researched and created the featured artifacts and art will be at 2 p.m., Sundays through April 17, the last day of the exhibit. All talks are at the Pump House Regional Art Center, 119 King St., La Crosse. Snacks, coffee and tea will be provided. Talks are free and open to the public.
