Brief biography

I'm originally from West Allis/New Berlin, Wisconsin, and came to UWL as a student in the 90s. I fell in love with the bluffs and all the opportunities I was given in the classroom and beyond. I worked as an RA where Centennial Hall now stands, volunteered in the Archaeology lab, studied abroad (University of Malta), and did independent research with faculty. The College of Arts, Social Sciences, & Humanities really prepares you for life; I'm so glad to be home.

I've worked at several large universities for more than 20 years as an academic advisor. I like to ask open ended questions and get to the heart of your goals. As the Academic Services Director, I also help on the nuts and bolts side of your degree and perform the degree verification that allows you to graduate. Currently, I focus a lot on policy and procedures, but still advise any CASSH student, especially new transfers and those looking for extra help.

My hobbies include gardening, pleasant walks, sewing, dyslexia advocacy, and being a Girl Scout leader.
