Brief biography

Prior to coaching at UWL, I worked in UWL's Exercise Sport Science Department from 2014-22, serving as Associate Chair July 2021-August 2022. My primary responsibilities included scheduling all courses in the department and each teaching responsibilities for each faculty and staff member. I was also the Director of the Physical, Adapted, and School Health Education Program from 2017-22.

I was on the tack and field Team at the University of Wyoming and  earned my bachelor's (1993) and master's (1997) of science degrees in Health and Physical Education. Later on, I earned my Doctor of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Northern Iowa in 2017.

I began my teaching and coach career at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School (WI), then onto Shawano High School (WI) before returning to the college level and stops at Defiance College (Ohio) where I was the Head Women's Volleyball coach, Assistant Track & Field coach, Instructor, and Senior Women's Administrator from 2000-03. We finished 23-8 overall and 5-2 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in 2002 and set a school record for wins and were 21-9 in 2001 as I was named the conference coach of the year. Following Defiance College, I was the assistant women's volleyball coach and an Instructor at Winona State University (Minn.) from 2003-06 and from 2006-2013, a faculty member at Loras College (Iowa).
