Brief biography

I graduated with my Master's degree from the College of St. Scholastica in 2004. Shortly thereafter I enrolled in the transitional DPT and completed that degree for my doctorate in 2008. I began my career in the clinic working in a small, rural, outpatient physical therapy clinic that saw all diagnoses and all levels of patients. After about a year and a half, I decided to leave that job and I began working as a contract physical therapist throughout the Midwest. I worked in all settings except the school system and worked with patients in all diagnostic phases, ages and abilities. In 2011 I accepted a position for Agnesian Healthcare working at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon, WI. While there, I began working with a more specific patient population, getting my competency training in Vestibular therapy through Emory University in 2014 and then working on the LSVT BIG certification in 2018 for patients with Parkinsonism disorders. I began working with patients with concussion in 2016 and integrated ITPT (ImPACT Trained Physical therapy) into practice. I moved into a role as lead therapist at the clinic in 2016 and worked on administrative duties. I am a certified clinical instructor and frequently had students in the clinic.

I have additional training in chronic pain and pain management, orthotics, Graston techniques, Kinesiotape techniques and sports rehabilitation. Prior to getting my degree in physical therapy I was working as an athletic trainer in the northern MN area.
