Brief biography

I am the Collection Development Assistant & Acquisitions Specialist. Put simply, I get to buy books for a living. I order most of the print books, eBooks, and streaming videos for the library collection. I started my journey in the book business in 2006 with a part-time bookseller position at Barnes and Noble. I was eventually a lead bookseller and worked there for 11 years before leaving to pursue my bachelors degree at Viterbo University. After graduation I was lucky enough to get hired at Viterbo’s library as a Information Services Supervisor. I was there for 3 years before the pandemic put the world on hold. I joined Murphy Library in March of 2023. I currently live in Goodview, MN with my husband and two cats.
