Brief biography

I am a native of the east coast, so moving to Wisconsin was quite an adjustment. I originally started off life as a software engineer, after receiving my B.S. in Computer Science in 1994 from the University of Virginia, I worked as a software engineer for 9 years in the Washington D.C. area.

While working, and to prepare for graduate school in math, I received a B.S. in Mathematics in 2003 from George Mason University. After that, I received an M.S. in Mathematics in 2006 again from the University of Virginia. In 2009, I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from George Mason University. (Yes, it's like a tennis match... back and forth between the two schools.)

When not working on mathematics, you might find me experimenting new recipes (I love to cook) or watching anime (One Piece, Naruto, Black Clover, Demon Slayer) or K-dramas my mom has suggested. I am taking piano lessons, so you may also find me at the Center for the Arts building plunking away at the keys.
