Brief biography
I'm a Twin Cities transplant now residing in La Crosse. My professional background ranges from an 11-year Law Enforcement career to a 20-year stint as an owner of a small, local and independently owned retail business. In Public Service, I retired as a three-term elected City Council member and Mayor Pro-tem from Cottage Grove, Minnesota.

Teaching history
Former Use-of-Force and Defensive Tactics Instructor. Was certified in teaching Force Continuums, Pressure Point Control Tactics (PPCT), Expandible Police Weapons, Chemical and intermediate Impact weapons, and a multi-course instructor through the American Red Cross including CPR and First Aid for advanced rescuers. Professional history
Retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer. Former Vice President of the Cottage Grove, Minnesota Economic Development Authority 2015-2023. Served as Board Chair for Discover Cottage Grove, was an Executive Board Member for the Mississippi River Valley Beyond the Yellow Ribbon group, and 2020 Community Volunteer of the Year - Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.
