Brief biography

Troy Birdsong is a sought after bassist in Western Wisconsin in both classical and jazz.  Mr. Birdsong has performed with such orchestras as the Louisville Orchestra, the La Crosse Symphony, the Winona Symphony and the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra.  He has performed as soloist with the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra and the Winona Symphony.  He is an active jazz bassist, performing with a variety of groups in the La Crosse area. Mr. Birdsong has a masters degree in double bass performance from the University of Louisville, where he studied with Sidney King.  He has performed in clinics and master classes with Gary Karr, Harold Robinson, Stuart Sankey, Barry Green and Bruce Bransby.
