Rec Sports Lifeguards
The Mitchell Hall pool is a 6 lane, 25 yard competitive pool that is used for a variety of activities including classes and competitive collegiate swim meets. Rec Sports operates the pool for open lap swimming.
Current faculty, staff and students just need to bring their current UWL ID with them to gain access during open hours.
Not a current member of the UWL community? You can purchase a pool guest pass for $6 per day. Pool guest passes need to be purchased online. You will need to setup a profile, then choose membership, then choose the correct option to purchase. Please make sure to complete the whole process, such as click "Complete Sale" after credit card payment is entered (cash payments are not accepted). Please visit the Mitchell Hall office (Room 118) to receive your receipt. To access the pool, you must present your receipt to the lifeguards on duty.
Accessing the Pool
- Access the pool through the Mitchell Hall General Use Locker Rooms.
- Locker rooms are located on the lower level of Mitchell Hall.
- To access the locker rooms, guests can use the stairs that are by the North Entrance of Mitchell Hall (across from the football stadium parking lot) and the Rec Sports Office.
- Guests can go up the stairs that are located within the locker rooms to access the pool

Monday - Friday: 6am-11pm
Saturday: 10am-10pm
Sunday: 11am-10pm
Adjusted Hours (April 18-20)
Friday, April 18: 6am-8pm
Saturday, April 19: 10am-4pm
Sunday, April 20: 4pm-10pm
