UWL Theatre & Dance produces at least six productions each season - which means while we are constantly looking for the technology which can best prepare our students for successful careers after graduation, equipment gets worn out, and gear breaks from continued use.
If you are interested in supporting specific components of our shows as a complete package, then the Help Us Build It kits are exactly what you're looking for!

Scenery Kit - $100 |
|
Our scenic lab is a place to learn--but that does occasionally mean we need to replace a saw blade, screw gun, or other small tools. |

Scenery Kit - $500 |
|
Invest in several shows at once by supporting material and supply costs for scenic units that can be used on multiple productions, like platforms, stair units, doors, or windows. |

Scenery Kit - $1,000 |
|
Help us show our students the future of theatrical construction by supporting our move into pneumatics and stage automation. |

Costume Kit - $300 |
|
Dye Stock - With dye, a costume designer can create completely original fabrics and textures, perfectly customized to the character. This kit would support a wider color selection, and PPE wear for our student designers. |

Costume Kit - $350 |
|
Fitting Go Kit - A wheeled tower with drawers and has prepared materials for fittings sessions where actors and dancers try on their costumes in progress. It can be used in the costume shop for the shows we are currently building, and also taken to the theatre during tech rehearsals and performances for quick fixes. (Up to 3 kits.) |

Costume Kit - $500 |
|
Our costume designers often create garments from scratch. Your support allows us to shop for fabric and trim, and then pattern and drape the costume to be a custom fit for our actors and dancers. |

Lighting Kit - $100 |
|
Lighting designers can create forests without trees, windows without walls, and texture out of thin air when they can put steel gobos into our lighting units. This kit would support the purchase of up to 5. |

Lighting Kit - $250 |
|
Add an extra touch of authenticity or magic to the scenery onstage with materials and wiring for specialty lighting fixtures and practicals. |

Sound Kit - $250 |
|
A sound designer's creativity can blossom when we can hire musicians to record original music, allow a sound effect to burst forth in the middle of the stage from a speaker with no wires or cords, or try out new software and effects. |

Expendables Kit - $500 |
|
How do we pull it all together? With all the unglamorous, but very necessary, things on a production like specialized tape, tie line, craft paper, blue work lights for backstage tables, and maybe even the occasional ice pack! |

Special Effects Kit - $500 |
|
Torches, and blood cannons, and magic candles, oh my! You never know what delight you--or even scare you-- at the theatre. Help us keep providing surprises onstage by supporting the supply and engineering costs of special effects. |

Students Kit - $1,000 |
|
Help our students to learn technical skills and gain leadership experience overseeing groups of lab students by supporting the cost of one week of student employees in our shops. |
