Registering for Summer Session
- Current Students: Students currently enrolled at UW-La Crosse.
- Current students simply proceed to WINGS Student Center - no application is needed.
- Register here
- Visiting Students (special non-degree students): Undergraduate or graduate students completing courses at UW-La Crosse to transfer back to another institution.
- Visiting students are classified as special non-degree students. There are no admission requirements for special non-degree students but you do need to complete a special non-degree application for summer session. Summer-only students are not required to submit transcripts or pay an application fee. Please visit the "Visiting students" link for details.
- If you have not attended UW-La Crosse or have attended in previous years and are looking to enroll in Summer Session, you will need to submit a UW System application for admission. Please visit https://apply.wisconsin.edu and complete the online form.
Withdrawal
Registration fees & refund information
Withdrawal procedures must be fully completed before a withdrawal becomes official. An official withdrawal entitles a student to a refund of fees when the withdrawal date falls within a refund period. The official date of withdrawal is the date the withdrawal form is received in the Records and Registration Office. If you withdraw from the university within 10 business days from the start of your classes, you will incur a $75.00 charge ($25.00 registration if applicable, + $50.00 withdrawal fee). The withdrawal fee will be added to your WINGS account and reflected on the next billing statement.
Three sessions are available!
Session 1
- Begins: May 20
- Final exams/last day of classes: June 14
Session 2
- Begins: June 17
- Final exams/last day of classes: July 12
Session 3
- Begins: July 15
- Final exams/last day of classes: August 9
Grades due for all Summer Sessions: 8 a.m., August 14, 2024
Courses vary in length and may be shorter or longer than the session in which they start. Students may earn up to 12 credits during Summer Session.
- Current Students: If a course is full, please add your name to the course Wait List in WINGS.
