The UW System wide Title and Total Compensation (TTC) project is now in its final stages with a full implementation date scheduled for November 7, 2021.
The UW System wide Title and Total Compensation (TTC) project is now in its final stages with a full implementation date scheduled for November 7, 2021.
The TTC was initiated to update the UW System Title structure to provide relevant and market-informed titles to help the organization grow and maintain an outstanding workforce.
As we move toward that transition date HR (Human Resources) will be providing several resources to help manage this change.
- You will soon have access to your employees’ new titles and other TTC data through Tableau*, (HR’s new reporting tool for campus).
- HR has redesigned the TTC website to provide both employee and supervisor information.
- Training opportunities for understanding the new title and compensation structure will be provided - along with Open HR Office Hours with your Human Resource Partner.
July 2021 - New Title Review
Beginning the week of July 26, 2021, supervisors will receive access to a report (in a separate email communication) that will provide details on the current and mapped titles for each employee impacted by TTC that reports to you. Upon reviewing this information, you can start to prepare for manager/employee conversations regarding the new title and any impacts that may have on the employee.
August 2021 – September 2021 - Manager/Employee Conversations
HR will provide training on how to conduct the manager/employee conversation (to be held between August and September) as well as how to guide employees through the change process brought about by TTC.
In addition to this training session, HR will provide a recording of the training session on our website for those who are unable to attend or for those who want to go back and review further information.
HR will also provide “office hours” with the HR Partners, Shannon Miller (Academic departments) and Carri O’Melia (Non-Academic units), to walk through any questions or concerns you may have.
November 2021 - TTC Go Live
TTC is scheduled to go live on November 7, 2021. This is when all titles will be changed over in HRS and will be visible to all managers and employees. On this date, all title changes become official.
