UWL Alumni Association sets evening of fun

Live music, food, drinks and fun are all planned for the first “Barrels & Bites” hosted by the UW-La Crosse Alumni Association. The “filling and fulfilling night” is planned from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, in the Cleary Alumni & Friends Center, UW-La Crosse, 615 East Ave. N. The event will include wine, whiskey and food from various La Crosse-area vendors including: The Crow, Elmaro, Pearl Street Brewery, Grizzly’s and more. Audio Jack will provide live music. The event also features a historical display about barrel-making from Wisconsin’s Hess Cooperage barrel-making factory. Other highlights include a bottle-pull raffle and bidding on silent auction items. Admission includes a commemorative tasting glass and keepsake photo-strip from a photo booth. Advance registration is $40 and $35 for UWL Alumni Association members. Register in advance. The day of the event, admission is $50, $45 for Alumni Association members.
