UWL holiday volunteer project to air on ‘Wisconsin Life’

A story about an annual UWL volunteer project to build handmade wooden toys for children will air on "Wisconsin Life" from 6:45-8:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8 during Morning Edition on Wisconsin Public Radio. UWL also featured the the story last December in this long-form story. UWL faculty and staff, “woodworking elves,” have been making toys for 19 years to donate to families in need during the holidays. UWL students also pitch in to prepare the gifts. Read how the project has evolved.
