The 2018 C.A.L.L. Conference About Libraries & Literacy is being held on campus Thursday, February 1.
The second annual C.A.L.L. Conference About Libraries & Literacy will take place on the UW-La Crosse campus from 9:00 - 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Student Union, Room 3310.
The conference is a collaboration between UW-La Crosse Murphy Library, the School District of La Crosse & La Crosse Public Library and will be attended by librarians from all types of libraries (school, public, academic, special, etc.).
The theme of the conference is “Librarians as Advocates.” The keynote speaker is Michael Stephens, associate professor in the School of Information at San José State University. Stephens writes the monthly column“Office Hours” for Library Journal, runs the Tame The Web (TTW) weblog, and for 10+ years has delivered keynotes, papers, and workshops throughout the US and internationally on topics related to creative and open uses of technology to support and drive library services and learning.
